Grace did for us what we couldn't do.

Imagine that there is a certain board exam you need to

pass in order to enter a certain university. You have been

trying so hard to pass this exam but every time you take it,

you fail. So, you put in much more efforts and after so many

years, you are still not able to pass that exam. It is school

policy that every person must take the exam and pass before

getting admission. Now, it so happens that the vice president

of the school happens to know all the answers to the exam

and it is only through him that students end up getting

admitted into that school.  He feels so sorry for you and wants

to help you out. One day, he says to you "don't worry young

man/woman, I will take this exam for you". So he goes ahead

and writes the exam for you and passes. Now, tell me. How

exactly will you feel? Won't you feel relieved and happy?

Ladies and gentlemen, we were struggling to write the board

exam to go to heaven but King Jesus wrote the exam for us.

You must be holy in order to go to heaven. So, instead of

trying to be holy by our own strength(i.e holiness by the law),

Jesus has already made us holy in Him(i.e holiness in Christ).

And how did Jesus make us holy? By dying on the cross

which took away the sins of the world(see Jn 1:29).  So all we

need to do no is to accept it and then we shall freely enter

heaven with boldness; for the scripture says "having

therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the

blood of Jesus"(Heb 10:19).  So you see, because of His

blood shed, Jesus has already made us holy enough to enter

boldly and freely into His father's house. What more do we

want?

Now, going back to the above example. If the school's vice

president suggested to you that he would like to write the

entire exam for you so that you will pass, you can either say

'yes' or 'no' right? You have a free will but any person in his

right mind would obviously say 'yes'; knowing how hard it is to

pass that exam. And the fact is that if you say 'no', you would

keep struggling and may never end up entering that school.

So why not just say 'yes' and let him help you out once and

for all? In the same way, Jesus wants to help us to enter this

great marvelous place called heaven.  Why can't we just

accept it once and for all? Why do we keep trying to make

ourselves holy in order to enter heaven meanwhile Jesus has

already made us holy in Him? The scripture says "and by that

will, we have been made holy by the offering of the body of

Jesus once for all"(Heb 10:10). As you can see, the bible has

made it crystal clear that we have already been made holy

through Christ's sacrifice. Let me say this again and please

listen very carefully: Jesus has already made us holy. Once

again, my dear friends in the Lord, Jesus(Grace) has already

made it very easy for us to enter heaven and all we need to

do is to sincerely say "Yes Jesus, I accept". Amen?
