If a saved(born again) person commits suicide, will he go
to heaven ?
Someone once asked a preacher this
question on national television and the preacher's answer was
'yes', and that answer really shocked me. Now, let us please
open up our minds and think. Let us look at it from the side of
God's Grace as opposed to God's law. Once you get
'yes', and that answer really shocked me. Now, let us please
open up our minds and think. Let us look at it from the side of
God's Grace as opposed to God's law. Once you get
saved(become born again), your soul becomes 'heaven-
ready'. So any bad thing you do does not disqualify you from
inheriting the kingdom of God. Does that mean you have the
free will to do something bad? No! When you get saved(born
again), Grace empowers you to do good; not the law.
However, in case you do something bad by accident, all you
have to do is to declare that you are already forgiven;
because the fact is that you are now in Christ and his blood
already washed away the sins of the world.
So coming back to the question. If a saved(born again)
person commits suicide, will he go to heaven? First of all,
someone who is truly saved would not wish to commit suicide;
that is because the Holy Spirit(Grace) in you instead
empowers you to do good. However, in case a saved(born
again) person is faced with a situation where he would have
to commit suicide(e.g mental disability or dementia), he will
still go to heaven. The bible says "there is therefore now no
condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus"(Rom 8:1).
So please, let us not condemn people who commit suicide
because we do not understand what people go through. We
don't understand what must have led them into committing
suicide. Let us take a look at two examples:

So please, let us not condemn people who commit suicide
because we do not understand what people go through. We
don't understand what must have led them into committing
suicide. Let us take a look at two examples:
A saved father has a serious passion for Jesus. One
unfortunate day, he loses his entire family(wife and 2 kids) in
a car accident. The following day, he mourns so much that he
can't take the pain anymore. Suddenly, he commits suicide.
Will you honestly tell me that this man won't make it to
heaven because of this one act?

A young lady who happens to be born again is kidnapped
and raped by six unknown men. She feels so emotionally hurt
and feels like her life is over. She cries over and over.
Suddenly, she stabs herself to death. Think about it. We
know how terrible and insulting it is for a lady to get raped; let
alone by numerous men. Can you really blame this innocent
woman? Why on earth wouldn't she go to heaven? Do you
honestly think that God(full of love and mercy) will disqualify
her based on murder? Remember, we don't go to heaven
based on the things we do. Instead, we go to heaven based
not the thing Jesus did for us, on the cross. In other words,
people don't go to heaven for doing good things; people go to
heaven for simply accepting Jesus sincerely. Also, people
don't go to hell for doing bad things; people go to hell for
rejecting Jesus(not being born again).

Now, I am not justifying murder or encouraging anyone to
commit suicide(God forbid). What I'm saying is that in a
situation where a saved christian commits murder, God has
already forgiven that christian.
Let me make something crystal clear. The moment you
become born again(saved), your spirit is heaven-ready. The
moment you get saved(born again), there is nothing that you
would do that would change God's mind concerning you. In
other words, there is nothing that would prevent you from
going to heaven; not even suicide. Jesus did not say "no one
can see the kingdom of God unless they do good". Instead,
Jesus said "no one can see the kingdom of God unless they
are born again"(Jn 3:3). Why do we keep trying to perform
for Jesus? He already did all the good that was supposed to
be done; and He did so by fulfilling the the requirements of
the law. And in place of the already-fulfilled law,He has
given us the free gift of Grace. Yet, we are still denying it and
falling back to the law(do good, do bad). The reason most
people answer 'no' to this question is because they are still
thinking about the do's and don'ts found in the law of Moses.
Guys please, stop listening to people who say you must do
good in order to go to heaven. That is not what Jesus said in
this scripture. In order to enter the kingdom of heaven, all you
need to do is to be born again. 'Born again' doesn't mean
'doing good'; doing good is a natural effect of already being
born again.
paragraph which is "the moment you get saved, there is
nothing that you would do that would prevent you from going
to heaven". However, there could be an exceptional case
where a christian sincerely decides not to believe in God
anymore claiming that He does not exist; and is very
convinced that there is no God. In this case, such an
individual might no longer be saved(born again) because
he has completely denied Jesus from the bottom of his heart
- which means that satan has succeeded in deceiving him
that there is no God. This explains why we need to constantly
ask God for guidance and continue to pray even for others
who are already saved.
How to become born again:

Now, I made a very serious claim in the previous
paragraph which is "the moment you get saved, there is
nothing that you would do that would prevent you from going
to heaven". However, there could be an exceptional case
where a christian sincerely decides not to believe in God
anymore claiming that He does not exist; and is very
convinced that there is no God. In this case, such an

How to become born again:
In Matt 7:2, Jesus said that the one who does the will of
the father will enter heaven. And in Jn 3:3, Jesus said unless
a man is born again, he will not enter heaven. So, what is the
will of the father? According to these two scriptures, the will
of the father is for us to be born again. Therefore, to enter
heaven, you must do the will of the father which is to be born
again.
The question now is "what does it mean to be born
again"? When a child is born, he has life. So if that child is
born again, it means he receives a second life; he is reborn in
the spirit, not the flesh. The words 'born again' literally mean
'to have life again'. In other words, to have a second life. This
second life is spiritual. It is not a physical birth as some
people think. So, when you are first born into this world, you
have the natural life of sin in you(caused by the Adam and
Eve sin). But the day you become born again, you receive the
spiritual life of Christ in you; you now become holy in Christ.
The bible says "if you declare with your mouth that Jesus
is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the
dead, you will be saved"(Rom 10:9). In other words, to be
saved or born again, you need to sincerely accept Jesus in
your heart while declaring it with your mouth. Now, some
people would argue that 'born again' is all about doing good
but I am writing this to tell you that, that is not true. Born
again simply means 'sincerely accepting Christ into your
heart'. Yes, Christ will empower you to do good but
sometimes, we would do bad by accident(that's because the
flesh is still corrupt with bad things). And when we do bad,
Christ doesn't condemn us one bit because our spirits remain
very pure and holy.
*There is therefore...no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus *
(Rom 8:1)
